Congratulations to Mary B., who won this week’s October Feel-Good Giveaway.
Feel-Good Playtime with My Granddaughter
This week I had playtime with my eldest granddaughter, which gave me a wonderful feel-good feeling. As soon as Gigi stepped into my kitchen, she announced that she had come to play with me. And she had plans: Paw Patrol, puzzles, match game, hide and seek, flashlights, and snack time with chips (maybe the most important).
We synced our activities perfectly so that by the time Daddy dropped by to walk her home at lunchtime, she was stuffing the last of her sliced strawberries in her mouth. “I can’t go home til I’m finished,” she announced.
I thought our morning playtime was perfect, and Gigi left with a feel-good that matched mine.
Grandma, We Forgot Something
Shortly after returning home, Gigi called me on her mother’s cellphone. “Grandma, we didn’t hot tub.” I didn’t know that hot tubbing was on her list of things to do. I know that it didn’t cross my mind. “We’ll have to check with Poppa to make sure the water is warm enough,” I replied. We kept the water cool during the summer so the kids could use it as their swimming pool. “Okay,” Gigi answered. “Next time we’re hot tubbing.”
It will have to be a warm autumn day. Do we have many left? I really don’t want to sit out in the cold while two little ones play in the hot tub (the water will be warm, not quite hot tub heat). Maybe that can be Poppa’s time with them.
Feel-Good Hallowe’en Plans
Hallowe’en will be here shortly. We don’t get any trick-or-treaters other than our grandkids. Gigi informed me that their favourite candy is Hershey’s Peanut Butter Cups. Regarding their costumes? I’m not quite sure what they will dress up as–Peter Pan characters? Mommy usually keeps it a secret until it’s costume time.
My daughters have got their costumes, and Amazon delivered mine today. Hubby helped me get into mine and laughed once I was all set up. The grandkids should like it. Pictures to come after Hallowe’en.
Birthday Plans
The youngest grandchild has her first birthday coming up. I asked Gigi what we should get her sister for her birthday. The answer was immediate, “Dinosaurs!” We searched Amazon for ideas. I knew enough not to get the hard plastic ones. Gigi pointed to the plush dinosaurs for toddlers. Good choice. She liked the set that came with a backpack costing around $75. No to that choice. I found a set of plush toys more reasonable in price. Yes! They, too, arrived today.

Looking for a Free and Fun Read for Your Weekend Feel-Good?
My author friend (yes, I have a few), Tammy Lough, is giving away her ebook, Lacey’s Lessons of Love, for FREE this weekend on Amazon. I’m sure this western romance set in the late 1800s will give you a reading feel-good time. It’s a western romance set in the late 1800s. Will Lacey fancy the muscle-ripped cowboy of her dreams more than hot possum stew on a frigid winter night?https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0BHH9XSHN
