I am at the Brampton Fall Fair this weekend, celebrating the fall and returning to outdoor events. My table is set up, and I am ready to promote my books. The forecast for the weekend is for great weather. If you are in the area, I invite you to drop by for a visit. http://bramptonfair.com/
Celebrating the Little Things
I’m happy with myself. I learned how to sync my laptop with my cellphone so that I could go online. Silly me, I brought my laptop to the fair and quickly discovered that I couldn’t access any of my writing programs. They were all in the cloud somewhere. After checking out a Youtube video on my phone, I got my laptop online. Yay me. Celebrate the little things.
Corn Harvest
Life is quiet on the farm at the moment. We harvested and stored the corn silage last week. It took four and a half days to fill the bunkers. Corn silage week is one of the grandkids’ favourite times of the year. They seem to measure time by the coming of corn silage. Once my grandson is home from school, we head down to the bunker silo, set up a picnic on the grass (safely out of the way of tractors and trucks) and watch Poppa and Daddy drive the tractors, pushing the silage up into the silo, and packing it down with the weight of the tractor. We can’t forget Uncle Peter, who drives Big Blue and dumps corn silage in the bunker. Some people may compare watching this activity to watching paint dry. My grandkids would strongly disagree.
Celebrating National Read an Ebook Day
Did you know that September 18th is read an Ebook Day? What a perfect way to spend a Sunday. Download a new book and enjoy your day.
Celebrating Books with Reviews
Do you leave reviews on Amazon or Good reads? Did you know that a review doesn’t have to be long and helps an author in many ways? You can review the book cover, the story, certain characters, and anything else you found of interest in the book. Amazon takes notice of the reviews and will promote books as they gain reviews. Also, readers look at reviews and find the star ratings or the written reviews helpful.
If you haven’t reviewed any of my books on Amazon, could I ask you to leave one soon? I would be very grateful.
Well, it’s time to turn my attention to the fair. I hope to see you here.
Have a wonderful weekend.
