Mom’s Farewell
Today’s Friday Feel-Good blog is bittersweet for me. Two years ago, my mother left this world. Mom had conquered cancer before, but there was no chance of winning this time. Farewell, Queen Elizabeth II
This week, our beloved Queen Elizabeth II passed away at the age of ninety-six years young. She’s been my Queen all of my life. Although I and the rest of the world knew that Her Majesty’s time on earth would end, it was still a shock to hear of her death. Like my mother, the Queen had been a constant in my life, always there, reliable.
Now, we have King Charles III. I don’t expect much to change under his rule. I will admit to liking having a queen and now a king as Canada’s head of state.
Love’s Farewell
On a happier note, I released my short story Love’s Farewell. It’s a quick read, only forty-nine pages. It also has an excerpt from Love’s Embrace, my next short story, along with delicious, easy-to-make recipes.
Love’s Farewell is part of the Davina and Quinn series. This short story is about Quinn, Davina, and Foxx O’Connell. You may remember Foxx from Love’s Games. He tried his best to come between Davina and Quinn. In Love’s Farewell, Foxx tries one last time to cause problems for Quinn by making one final request of Davina.
