Happy May 1st! It’s a great day for a Friday Feel-Good feeling. We’re getting closer to the warmer weather (fingers crossed), and the book fairs and vendor shows are coming!

These Daffodils are the first to bloom in my garden. There’s something about the bright yellow blooms that gives me that feel-good feeling that Spring is here!
The grass is lush and green. We’ve already mowed our lawn twice. Unfortunately, we’re missing the heat. I’d love to get the patio furniture out, sit out in the sun, and listen to the birds sing and the cows moo. Our patio is the perfect place to relax with a coffee and a good book.

I invite you to join me at the Brampton Fairgrounds on Saturday. May 2nd, from 10 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Entry is free, although a monetary or non-perishable food item donation is appreciated. I’ll have my books with me, new bookmarks, and some sweets to hand out.
I’ll be happy to discuss my books with you. Got a question about Quinn and Davina, or Boss? Want an update on Bates? I’ll have one for you.
Hanging out with the Grandkiddies
This week I had the pleasure of hanging out with my grandkiddies. The eldest, 8 and 6 years of age, are Toronto Blue Jays fans. They know more about the team than I do. They know the players, their positions, and their strengths and weaknesses. Me? I’m happy to know a few names and their positions.
Last month, we went to a Blue Jays game. I wasn’t sure how much they would take in, thinking they’d focus on the snacks instead. But apparently, they knew the team and the game, offering commentary throughout. Unfortunately, the Blue Jays lost, although we still had fun. This summer, both of them will play baseball. I’m looking forward to watching them play and cheering them on.
You’re Never Too Young or Old to Start Writing
My grandkiddies are writing stories now. They are one-page adventures, or book reports, or scientific reports on King Cobras or dolphins. Their stories are well-written and informative. I didn’t know that King Cobras can be found on land, in trees, and in water. Watch out!
I started writing romance when I turned fifty. I’ve always been writing. Remember snail mail? I loved to send cards and letters to friends and family. Receiving cards or letters? Bonus!
Do you like to write? If so, what do you write? Do you send cards to friends and loved ones?
Weekend Plans
Saturday, I’ll be hanging out at the Brampton Fairgrounds. If you are in the area, I invite you to drop by. If you mention my blog, I’ll give you a gift.
I’m dedicating Sunday to Bates. All of May is dedicated to getting his story told. It’s time to finish his book.
What are your plans for the weekend? Anything exciting? Are you reading? If so, what book has grabbed your attention?
