Deborah's Diary

Wow!

What a feel-good weekend at the Brampton Fall Fair! Thank you to everyone who stopped by my booth to check out my books. And for those of you who signed up for my newsletter, welcome.

I sold quite a few books, and I made new friends. It was a win-win event. I was a happy author and a proud grandma. My grandkids came to the fair twice, and each time they had a visit with me. My grandson told his mom that the best part of the fair was his favourite ride (the climber-slide thingy) and seeing Grandma. Wow!

October is National Book Month

Wow! Not only do we celebrate Thanksgiving (Canada) and Halloween in October, we celebrate National Book Month. So, it is fitting that I run a book campaign this month. Actually, I’ll be running book giveaways throughout the month, as well as an Amazon campaign where you can download Love’s Farewell for free and get Forever Love at a discount. Another win-win. Stay tuned for more information.

 An Otter Thing

Wow! Do you like otters? They are playful, cute, and smart. My author friend, Mara Purl, is running an Amazon campaign today through the weekend. Mara is extremely talented as a storyteller, and if you haven’t discovered her books, now is the time. Here are the downloads to get her ebook for FREE in the US and Canada.

Weekend Plans

wows

Here’s my plan for the weekend, and I hope I can stick to it: write 5,000 words on my latest project, read one book cover to cover, and work on my Amazon campaign. I’ve made my list into a poster. Do you think visual aids help achieve a goal, or are they a waste of time? I’ll let you know next week.

In the meantime, have a great weekend. Better yet, make it a wow weekend. The forecast for my neck of the woods is cool with the chance of rain. It’s perfect for making me work on my goals.

Happy reading,
