We Love to Fall
It’s the first official week of fall, and what is more romantic than spending time with your sweetie enjoying the outdoors. Whether it’s warm outside or there’s a slight chill to the air, there’s no better place to be.
There’s something about fall that makes it my favourite time of the year. It’s one of the reasons why I had Davina and Quinn meet in September in Forever Love. Davina also wrote Second Harvest. A coincidence? I wonder. Fall is the perfect time to fall in love. And fall weddings! I love them, too. If you already have your sweetheart, fall is the ideal time to fall in love all over again. Take the time to be with each other and have fun.
This fall I’m celebrating the relaunch of my first book, Forever Love. If you don’t already have it in your collection, stay tuned for the relaunch.

I live in the town of Caledon, an area known for its gorgeous fall colours. People come from all around to drive our country roads to see the brilliant leaves. If we’re lucky, we have two weeks to enjoy the reds, yellows and oranges before they blanket the ground. We have the Caledon Trailway, a multi-use trail that accommodates hikers, horseback riders, and cyclists. Small towns and country roads are the only way to experience fall.
Fun & Romantic Date Ideas
1. Go on a long country drive and take in the colours. Wander the local towns and enjoy a hot cup of coffee and a home-baked treat.
2. Take a hike through the changing trees, their stunning leaves will take your breath away. Be sure to bring a snack and a blanket to sit on. Cuddle up with your honey and sip some hot cider or cocoa with marshmallows.
3. Visit a few local cideries. Fall is the perfect time for fresh brews.
4. Visit a local farm and pick apples and pumpkins, or buy a basket of your favourites and take them home to bake fresh apple pies, and carve your pumpkins—something scary or romantic for just the two of you.
5. Get lost in a corn maze and take turns playing the leader and test your navigation skills.
6. Take a horseback ride through the beautiful trails, or kick back on a hayride.
Don’t forget to take pictures of yourselves while you’re outside! Fall is the best time to take that perfect couple shot. Whether you co-ordinate your flannel shirts and jackets or not, your smiles will make you picture-perfect.
