April Fool’s Birthday
My Facebook birthday is April 1. It’s my attempt to keep my real birthday private (safe from scammers). Consequently, I received over sixty feel-good birthday wishes. Thank you to everyone who wished me a happy day. However, I wasn’t planning to prank you when I set the date to April 1. So, I’ll save your best wishes for my real birthday in June.
A Feel-Good Update on My Recovery
For having a teeny tiny tumour, the recovery from the surgery seems to be never-ending. Surprisingly, it’s been three months since my surgery. My incision is healing and has shrunk by seventy-two percent. I’m doing my feel-good happy dance. Size-wise, it shrunk from the size of a roll of loonies to that of the nail on my baby finger. I am hooked up to a vac-pack machine that applies intermittent pressure to the wound to draw the healthy tissue together. I’m not a fan of having to lug this 2.5-pound machine everywhere I go, even to bed. However, the healing has increased by 125 percent (so I’m told), and that is what we want. I can’t start radiation therapy until I am completely healed. I hope that I am healed by the end of this month. Fingers crossed for a quick feel-good healing!
Easter Plans

However, my wonderful family has offered to look after our Easter dinner. Should I feel guilty for not wanting to cook this weekend? I think I have a good excuse to let someone else take over the meal preparations. Don’t you agree?
