Here’s my Friday Feel-Good confession. I forgot about updating my newsletter mailing to send out my blogs. As a result, they didn’t get sent to you. Now that I’m writing and posting again, you will receive my blogs on time. This one will have a few posts attached.
This Week’s Good News Moments
My daily visits to the health care office are now every other day. Yay! Changing my bandages is not a feel-good experience but a necessity. I’m grateful that I now have more time for me to work on my books. Also, one of the nurses commented on my growing pink tissue. Maybe not the most exciting compliment you’ve heard, but it works for me. Until I heal entirely, any holiday plans are on hold.
Yesterday, I wrote for the first time in a while. It’s a very feel-good sensation to put my thoughts into words and share them with my followers. You’ve probably felt like this; when you have to stop doing something you enjoy every day because of an injury or illness. All you can think about is getting back to doing what makes you happy. Everything is right with your world when this happens.
I’m back to cooking, for real. Hubby and I are enjoying our new range. It heats up ultra-fast, and the stovetop is hot, too. We are learning to reduce the cooking heat so that our fried eggs are fried and not burnt to a crisp. Hubby is a real trooper. He managed to eat them, while mine ended up in the compost bin. He’s a pro at making me feel-good.
Yesterday was a snow/ice day for the school kids. In the afternoon, a baggie of delicious Reese’s Pieces cookies arrived at our home. Yummy! Cookies always arrive at the best time, and these sweets go great with a hot cup of strong coffee. They taste great and make me feel-good.
Weekend Feel-Good Plans
I’m starting the weekend with a clean house, the laundry put away, the kitty litter box cleaned (a major job for me), a book waiting to be worked on, and another one to read. The Super Bowl is this weekend. Do I have any football fans? The Kansas City Chiefs will play against the Philadelphia Eagles. I don’t have a favourite team, so I’ll sit back and enjoy the game.
Enjoy your weekend!
