Is it Friday so soon? Are you like me and find that the days of the week fly by quickly? In other words, one day it’s Monday, and before you know it, Friday and the weekend are here. Maybe it’s the other way for you. Friday is here, and before you know it, you’re back to Monday.
This Week’s Congratulations!
This week marks the end of my book giveaways. Congratulations to the winners! Please check your emails, especially your spam, to see if you’ve won. Unfortunately, I don’t have first names that I can mention as a teaser. Oh, the joys of email addresses!
Celebrations this Week
Hubby and I celebrated our 41st anniversary this week. Only one of our three children and a close friend remembered. Hubby forgot. However, in his defence, he said that he thought about our anniversary for the three days leading up to the day and then didn’t think about it on the actual day because Monday is the busiest day of the week for him. Do you feel that this is an acceptable excuse? I don’t. But, I won’t let one day ruin what I believe to be a great relationship.
On Thursday, we went on a road trip to Vineland and Niagara-on-the-Lake with our good friends. It’s been two years since we’ve travelled together. We visited the Vineland Estates Winery, where each course had a specific wine. The food was delicious, as were the various wines. https://vineland.com/
Afterwards, we visited Niagara-on-the-Lake. Can you believe that we didn’t shop? We walked the main street and found a restaurant with outdoor seating, each of us ordered a beer with some finger food, then drove home. You may not think that our day out was exciting. However, this was our first couple’s outing in two years. I’m sure we’ll have more.
This Weekend!
On Sunday, from noon until 5 pm, you’ll find me at the Flamborough Book Fair & Market. There are lots of authors on the list, and I’m excited to meet them. Here’s the Facebook page for the event. https://www.facebook.com/FlamboroughBookFair/ I know. My name isn’t on the list. However, I’m assured that it will be. Soon.
Love’s Farewell is with my book designer, Rebecca. This week, we’ve been working on the cover design. Since Love’s Farewell is a short story associated with the Davina and Quinn series, we’re trying to create a fitting cover. I am eager to share this story with you.
Have a wonderful weekend and enjoy yourself. Take advantage of the July weather. I don’t know if I’ll have time to read, but I know I’ll write whenever possible.
